Intro

Day zero

So here I am after having passed the ICND1 on September 20th (10 days before the cut off!) with a 950. I'm one of the awkward lot who passed the now old 680-822, and will be taking the new 200-101. This will leave gaps in my knowledge in areas such as IPv6, OSPF, ACL's and VLAN's.

I will certainly be looking to brush up on these subjects and I definitely don't want ANY knowledge gaps if I am to be a successful and proficient network engineer.

Why day zero?

My brain was fried from hours, days, weeks, months of reading for the ICND1 and I have taken a small break. Day 1 will be 1st November 2014. I am setting a goal for ICND2 for March/April 2014 and am really going to try and stick to it!

Hopefully by writing this blog it will reinforce subjects learnt and may even help a few of you too along the way.

Right now, I am readying myself for getting back into study mode on the 1st November and have bought my study guide (200-101 Wendell Odom) and bought CBT Nuggets 200-101 Jeremy Coira.

Here we go.
